Panel Dusan OGNJANOVIC
Over 16 years of experience in environmental management, with a focus on natural resources management, nature & biodiversity protection and conservation, fisheries, rural development, gained in in public sector, international projects and non-governmental sector. Extensive experience in international and regional environmental processes, specifically- environmental Conventions, including over 9 years of experience in participation in work of structures and bodies established within UN Convention on Biological Diversity and IPBES, as country representative acted as national focal point for CBD and Nagoya Protocol. Direct involvement in development of projects and setting up the dialogues within the EU macro-regional strategies, such as the EU Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region EUSAIR (country representative in TSG 3) and the EU Strategy for the Danube Region EUSDR (country representative in PA6).
In capacity of Head of Division for Protection and Sustainable Use of Fish Stocks within the Ministry of Environmental Protection (Serbia) leading the process of development of national legal framework in the area of fisheries and sustainable use of fish stocks and participation in development of nature protection and environmental protection legislation . Member of law-making working groups, drafting and providing expert opinions on laws, by-laws and implementation regulations, including alignment with EU acquis. Directly involved in transposition and implementation planning related to Negotiation Group 27 (Environment and Climate Change) and Negotiation Group 13 (Fisheries).
Within the scientific career he published several papers in the field of ichthyology.
