Panel Archil GUCHNMANIDZE
Archil Guchnmanidze was born on 21st of September, 1979 in Batumi (GEORGIA). After graduation of the Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University in 2001, faculty of Zoology-Hydrobiology, he was awarded Master’s degree in Zoology and became PhD in ichthyology in 2013 (Doctoral Thesis: Sturgeons in Georgia, Genesis, taxonomic composition and bioecology).
2001-2004 Archil Guchnmanidze was warked in Georgian Marine ecology and fisheries research institute. Black sea regional activity center for biodiversity conservation, on research worker position;
2004-2006 was warked in Directorate for environment and natural resources of Adjara autonomous republic, on Chief of naturall resources department and Chief of biodiversity and environment’s integrated management department positions;
2006-2015 was warked in Fisheries and Black sea monitoring department of national environmental agency. On Specialist, Head of Fisheries Direction and Deputy of Head positions.
2015-2019 Archil Guchmanidze is a head of Fisheries and Black sea monitoring department at the National Environmental Agency.
2016- to present Archil Guchmanidze is WWF`s consultant. (Scientist working on sturgeon conservation and research in Georgia) and 2006- to present Head of Assocation Flora and Fauna (NGO).
Archil Guchmanidze has been actively involved in different national and international projects/programs as an expert and manager with 17 years years (from 2001) of work experience in ichthyology, fisheries, hydrobiology and aquatic biodiversity, Regions: Black Sea-Georgian part of the Black Sea; Caucasus-inland waters of Georgia.
Archil Guchmanidze is an author/coauthor of 10 scientific works and 1 book.
